Crow’s Feet
The fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes that appear when you smile or squint. These develop due to repeated facial expressions and a natural decrease in skin elasticity over time. Botox relaxes the muscles in this area to smooth out these lines.
Frontalis
This is the large muscle across your forehead that helps lift your eyebrows. Overuse of this muscle leads to horizontal forehead wrinkles. Botox can be used to soften these lines while still allowing for natural movement.
Lip Flip
A subtle enhancement where Botox is injected into the upper lip to relax the muscle slightly, causing the lip to roll outward. This creates the appearance of fuller lips without adding volume.
Glabellar Lines
Also known as “frown lines” or “11s,” these are the vertical wrinkles between your eyebrows that form when you frown or concentrate. Botox relaxes these muscles to prevent deep creases and create a more refreshed look.
Bunny Lines
The fine wrinkles that appear on either side of the nose when you scrunch it, often from smiling or squinting. Botox softens these lines by relaxing the muscles responsible for the movement.
Platysma Bands
Vertical neck bands that become more visible with age due to muscle tension and loss of skin elasticity. Botox relaxes these muscles, smoothing the neck and creating a more youthful appearance.
Gummy Smile
When the upper gums show prominently while smiling. Botox is injected into the upper lip muscle to relax it slightly, reducing how much the lip lifts and creating a more balanced smile.
Mentalis Dysfunction
This refers to an overactive chin muscle (the mentalis), which can cause dimpling or a “pebble chin” appearance. Botox relaxes this muscle for a smoother, more even look.
Masseter
A strong jaw muscle that can become enlarged due to teeth grinding or excessive clenching, leading to a square jawline. Botox can slim the lower face by relaxing this muscle, creating a softer, more contoured look.
Nefertiti Lift
A Botox technique that targets the jawline and neck to create a lifted, more defined appearance. Named after Queen Nefertiti, who was known for her elegant jawline.
DAO (Depressor Anguli Oris)
A muscle that pulls the corners of the mouth downward, creating a “resting sad face” appearance. Botox relaxes this muscle to give a more neutral, lifted expression.
Traps (Trap Botox)
Botox injected into the trapezius muscles (the muscles between the shoulders and neck) to help with tension, improve posture, and create a more elongated, feminine neck and shoulder contour.
